Account Deletion Guide

This guide focuses on how to delete your OzRunways account associated with the OzRunways, RWY and RWY Check applications.

Important Note Before Account Deletion

Before deleting or requesting deletion of your OzRunways account, please be fully aware of the following:

  • Loss of access: On deletion of the account, you will lose access to all services, features, and resources related to your account.
  • Subscription cancellation: If you have any ongoing subscriptions associated with your account, these will also be cancelled when the account is deleted. Please be aware of any ongoing services or subscriptions that you may have before initiating account deletion.
  • No automatic refunds: Please note that we do not automatically provide refunds for any ongoing subscription periods at the time of account deletion. If you believe you need a refund, you will need to contact our support team.

Understanding these points, if you still want to proceed with the deletion, follow the instructions detailed below for the app account deletion procedure. The instructions differ slightly depending on whether you have the app installed.

How to delete your app account

  1. Open the OzRunways or RWY app on your device.
  2. Navigate to Settings (this is located in the bottom left of the main map screen).
  3. Tap the 'Subscriptions' section.
  4. Select 'Delete Account'.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the account deletion process.

Deleting Your Account Without An App Installed

If you do not have the OzRunways or RWY apps installed on your device but wish to delete your account and all associated data, you can do so by contacting our customer support.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Send an email to our support team at support@ozrunways.com.
  2. Use the subject line "Request for Account Deletion".
  3. In your email, please include any relevant information that will help us locate your account – for example, your username or email address associated with the account. Please do not include sensitive information such as password in the email.
  4. Our support team will respond to your email and may ask for further verification to ensure the security of the account.

Data Retention Practices

In certain cases, we are obliged to keep some data for a legitimate period for compliance with legal obligations. Such data may include elements linked to payment and financial transactions.
